Rock'n Reef is all about getting as close to the waves as possible. Located on beach level in front of the Impossibles surf break, Rock'n Reef offers unencumbered views to the horizon and is the perfect place to check the waves or watch the sunset over the ocean.

Bungalows can be taken individually or gather a group of friends and privatise the resort for your exclusive use. Whether you are on a surf trip with the boys, taking your girl on your first trip to Indo, hanging with a bunch of friends or taking a quiet solo retreat and just want to chill near the beach then Rock'n Reef is for you. Rock n Reef

Rock'n Reef is a small boutique resort made for adventurous travellers who appreciate beautiful natural surrounds, ocean views and epic surf. Nestled on the rocks above the beach at Impossibles, Rock'n Reef has 5 bungalows. Rather than change the environment owner Bruno has built the bungalows around the natural rock formations using them as features within the rooms and bathrooms. Balinese styling, presented in a modern way using local materials. Bathrooms are tiled with smooth stones and shells. The posts of balcony railings make use of irregularly shaped local wood and thatched roofing keeps rooms cool and hangs over balcony areas to provide shade.

The terrace space offers areas to retreat, a covered chill space, pool table and sun lounges facing directly out to sea which is the perfect place for a Bintang. Breakfast is served daily and for guests only there is an inhouse menu for lunch, dinner and snacks. The dining area offers a central meeting place to meet other travellers.

As the resort is situated on the beach nearby local warungs offer a place, to get massages and purchase snacks and drinks you may want during the day while hanging out on the beach. Rooms have a mini fridge which you are welcome to stock with your favourite treats. Accessed by steep stairs Rock'n Reef staff can be arranged to meet you in the car park to assist with luggage. For this reason it is recommended that we arrange your transfer with the hotel to ensure your arrival is hassle free.

Once at the resort it is just a few steps to the sand and water, meaning a pool is not needed.

You can walk to beautiful Padang Padang & Dreamland beaches at low tide. A small boat can be rented from in front of the resort giving you access to surf different waves, snorkel, fish or take scenic tour to view the limestone cliffs from the beach angle.

Sunrise

Set up high facing directly towards the wave at Impossibles. Sunrise bungalow comes with a small balcony, queen bed, A/C, mini fridge & hot water. Sunrise adjoins Sunset by a balcony, screened for privacy or if you are sharing with friends you can open the dividing screen to interconnect the space.

Sunset

Facing the surf of Impossibles with great views Sunset has a queen bed complete with mosquito net, bathroom, mini fridge and a/c. Sunrise adjoins Sunset by a balcony making it a good choice for guests travelling together or larger families.

Big Rock

The largest of the rooms Big Rock has a private balcony looking directly at the Impossibles surf break. Check the conditions without leaving your bed. Mini fridge, fan cooled room with hot & cold water bathroom.

Padang Padang

Facing Padang Padang beach this room is very private and perfect for a couple. The natural beach rock has been used as a feature in the bedroom and bathroom. It has an outdoor terrace with day bed to relax and enjoy the view or eat in the privacy under the stars. Mini fridge, air conditioning, hot & cold water bathroom

Mimpi

Set up high to capture the view. The bungalow has a small balcony and comes with a queen bed, A/C, mini fridge & hot water.

1st of December to the 1st of March every year Rockn Reef experience strong onshore winds. The resort is closed for maintenance during this period

Denpasar International Airport 30 - 45 mins drive

Located on the beach in front of the Impossibles surf break. 100m from Padang and 300m to Bingin. By car/scooter a two minute drive from Padang Padang, and a five minute drive from Uluwatu.

The locals on the beach will love to sell you a sarong or tee shirt but if your after boutiques 30 mins - 1 hr

Surf Information

Rock'n Reef is situated on the ocean at Impossible Beach Bali and is the perfect spot for you to access some of Indonesia's best waves. Just a 100m to Padang Padang beach one way and 300m from Bingin beach the other way. Uluwatu is a 3km drive away.

Check surf conditions without leaving your room and pick the optimum time to score some waves. Paddle out to Impossible's from in front of the bungalows.

'My Husband and I have just returned from a trip to Bali with 2 other couples to celebrate my 30th Birthday. we were lucky enough to have spent 3 nights of our stay at rock'n reef. This place takes your breath away. The views from the property are something from a post card and if you are a surfer you will not belive the view of 3 of the greatest surf spots in the world. The place is beautiful and relaxing and a great place to watch the sunset over the water. We spent our time in the Padang room and another couple in the big rock room. The villas are all unique and have been built with good energy. Small touches like shell lights, rock shelves, lime stone clad walls and amazing natural teak tree trunks make the villas truely unique. I would call them naturally luxurious .'
